Project Description: For this project, I undertook the task of redesigning the Nike homepage to enhance its appeal and interactivity. Nike, a globally recognized brand, required a digital presence that not only reflected its brand identity but also engaged users in a more immersive way.
My Role:
As the sole UI/UX designer on this project, I was responsible for the entire redesign process, from initial concept development to high-fidelity prototypes.
Challenges:
The existing Nike homepage, while functional, is not as interactive to captivate users and keep them engaged. The challenge was to strike a balance between aesthetics and usability while staying true to Nike's brand image.
Approach:
I started by conducting a thorough analysis of Nike's brand guidelines and the current homepage's strengths and weaknesses. Next, I conducted user surveys and gathered feedback to understand user expectations and preferences.
Solution:
The redesigned Nike homepage introduced several key features to enhance appeal and interactivity:
- Visually Engaging Hero Section: I created a dynamic hero section with high-resolution visuals showcasing Nike's latest products and campaigns. These visuals not only grab the user's attention but also change dynamically, creating a sense of novelty with each visit.
- Interactive Product Showcase: To encourage exploration, I added an interactive product showcase with hover effects, allowing users to quickly browse and explore Nike's product lineup.
- Seamless Navigation: The navigation menu was restructured for better clarity, and a search bar with autocomplete functionality was introduced for quicker product discovery.
Key Features:
1. Dynamic hero section with changing visuals
2. Interactive product showcase
3. Seamless navigation
Tools Used:
Figma was the primary tool used for creating the design and prototype
